“LE JONGLEUR” ON NOV. 26
With Mary Garden as the Singer -
Labia as Carmen for Thanksgiving.

     It was learned last night that Massenet's opera, “Le Jongleur de Notre Dame,” will be sung at the Manhattan Opera House on the night of Nov. 26. Miss Mary Garden will sing the leading role, for which M. Massenet has transposed the music from tenor to soprano.
     Mme. Labia, who made such a favorable impression as Tosca, will appear in “Carmen” on Thanksgiving night at popular prices. As Carmen Mme. Melba has been especially popular in Berlin. The occasion will serve also for the d‚but as Don Jos‚ for Mr. Hammerstein's new French tenor M. Valles. The Spanish basso M. de Segurola will make his d‚but as Escamillo, and the cast will also include M. Gilibert and Mmes. Zeppilli and Trentini. Campanini will conduct.
     The singers who will appear at the first of the Campanini popular Sunday night concerts will be Mlles. Gerville-Reache, Zeppilli; Mmes. Espinasse, Doria, and Mariska-Aldrich; MM Vales, Parola, Dufranne, De Segurola, and Vieuille. A feature of the concert will be the performance under M. Campanini's direction of Debussy's orchestral suite “La Mer.”
     M. Parola, one of the new Italian tenors of the Manhattan Opera Company, will make his d‚but next Saturday evening as Almaviva in “The Barber of Seville.”
