“Les Erinnyes,” by Leconte de Lisle, lately
revived at the Odéon with the remarkable music of Jules Massenet for the farewell
representations of Mme. Marie Laurent, is a great artistic and financial success in spite
of the weak performance of Mlle. Tessandier in the part of Cassandra. The tragedy of
Aeschylus. Mme. Laurent’s acting in the part of Clytemnestra is entirely satisfactory.
