Backgound

Synopsis

     Thésée loves Ariane, who despises him, and is loved by her sister Phèdre. The god Dionysos, who has designs on Ariane, plies Thésée with wine until he sees double and thinks both sisters are boarding his ship. He will have to be content with Phèdre, while Dionysos whisks Ariane up to companion Diana in the sky. (runs 10 minutes)
